Children's Eye Test
At Alan Bowen Optometrist, we recognise the importance of children’s eye health. We offer Free NHS Eye examinations for children under 16 and for students under 19 in full-time education.
A child's eye examination is slightly different to an adult’s, as the number and type of tests performed will vary, depending on the age of your child.
We understand that for some children, a visit to any health professional can be a daunting experience. Our opticians are sympathetic to this and will ensure both the parents and children are relaxed and comfortable by explaining each test and the results to you and answer any questions you may have at the end.
If your child requires glasses we have a wide range of free frames to choose from or you can pay a little bit towards a nicer frame if you choose.
Daily disposable contact lenses can also be an option especially if your child plays sports.
