Dry Eye Clinic
Dry eyes are becoming an increasingly common problem as the use of computers and working in air-conditioned buildings can really irritate the eyes. Dry eye is an uncomfortable condition, but with a little bit of extra time and effort, you can really make a difference to the health and comfort of your eyes.
Dry eye occurs when your tears do not lubricate the front surface or your eye sufficiently. Every time you blink your tears should coat the surface of your eyes to keep them wet and comfortable.
If you have dry eye, although your tears may be plentiful, they may not be the correct consistency or the tears may not stay where they should and actually make your eyes water more. It is vital that the oily layer in your tears is present to rehydrate your eyes.
We run private dry eye clinics where our Optician will give a full assessment of your condition and look at prescribing you the best course of treatment.
